iNovah Hierarchy

There is a hierarchy in iNovah.  In order to find a Payment, Transaction, Tender, or an Allocation, the first step is to know where in the hierarchy it is located.  Below is an illustration of the iNovah hierarchy.

 

·        iNovah

o   Batch: iNovah can have multiple Batches.  They have a unique number within iNovah.

§  Transaction: A Batch can have multiple Transactions. They have a unique number within the Batch.

·        Payment: A Transaction can have multiple Payments. They have a unique number within the Transaction.

o   Allocation: A Payment can have multiple Allocations. They have a unique number within the Payment.

·        Tender: A Transaction can have multiple Tenders. They have a unique number within the Transaction. (Payments and Tenders are not directly associated. They are only associated by Transaction.)
